The Aesthetic Associates Centre is not just an ordinary medical/dental facility. The 13,000 square foot facility boasts a cosmetic and reconstructive dental practice, complete with state-of-the-art digital x-rays and imaging, and five dental operatories, including one specially designed for oral surgery and dental implantology. All phases of dental implantology are performed in one location! Within the facility is a 1,500 square foot dental lab for custom in-house dental prosthesis including dentures, veneers, and crown and bridge work to offer the best in cosmetic dentistry. The medical side of the practice contains multiple services including breast surgery, skin care, body contouring and facial rejuvenation. The plastic surgery wing offers the newest technology in non-invasive aesthetic surgery, such as intensed pulsed light (IPL), CO2 laser skin resurfacing, cellulite therapy and microdermabrasion peels, as well as the popular plastic surgery procedures of facelift, eyelift, breast augmentation and liposuction, to name a few. The Centre offers the unique concept of out-patient surgery in its newly upgraded ambulatory surgery centre. A state-of-the-art operating room and recovery suite are featured in this fully accredited ambulatory surgery center. The board certified plastic surgeons at the Centre perform all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. The doctors are on staff at several area hospitals to serve all of the needs of their patients.
Surgeon ProfileDr. Samuel Shatkin, Jr., is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and performs all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has been in private practice in this field since completing his plastic surgery training in 1989. His major concentration is in the area of aesthetic surgery, including facial rejuvenation, nasal surgery, body contouring and skin resurfacing. Dr. Shatkin has been trained in the state-of-the-art technologies, including endoscopic facial surgery, ultrasonic liposuction and microdermabrasion. He has recently completed advanced training in intensed pulsed light (IPL) therapies and Botox® treatments. Dr. Shatkin is on staff at most of the Western New York area hospitals, including Kaleida Health System and The Catholic Health System. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Lipoplasty Society, the American Medical Society and is currently the President of the Buffalo Plastic Surgery Society. He has been the co-host, with Dr. Todd Shatkin, of the weekly talk radio show The Great Look Show, which airs on WBEN Radio 930 on Sunday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. Dr. Shatkin is a clinical instructor at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
