Surgeon ProfileDr. Daniel P. Greenwald is the founder of Bayshore Plastic Surgery and has been practicing Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery in Tampa since 1993. He graduated cum laude from Princeton University and received his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Greenwald completed his training in General Surgery in New York and was chosen to receive the first-ever Research Scholarship Grant from the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation. Upon completion of this one-year fellowship, Dr. Greenwald finished his formal training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Chicago. He received additional training in Hand and Microvascular Reconstruction at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He has held faculty positions at the Harvard School of Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital and the University of South Florida. Dr. Greenwald is currently an Associate Professor and Co-Chair of the University of South Florida Division of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Greenwald is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery with certifications including Cosmetic Surgery of the face, head and neck, trunk, and extremities. Dr. Greenwald has been elected to Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons. He has held appointments at the National Institutes of Health and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is a member of many scientific and medical societies and associations, including the American Society for Aesthetic Surgery, the Harry Benjamin Society, the American Association of Hand Surgeons, and the Plastic Surgery Research Council. Dr. Greenwald has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and has lectured internationally on topics related to Plastic Surgery. His special interests include facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, and body contouring and liposuction. Dr. Greenwald served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Tampa General Hospital from 2000-2004.
