True Life Stories > Janet's Story True Life StoriesJanet's StoryAbout 7 years ago, after having my second child, I decided to have breast augmentation. Following 2 pregnancies and nursing, my breasts were mostly loose skin. I went to see a reputable plastic surgeon; and I had my surgery several months later. I was never completely satisfied because the implants were too high in my chest and did not look natural. Approximately 5 years after my first surgery, I went back to my original surgeon. He recommended replacement of the implants — another $6000. A friend of mine told me to go see a different plastic surgeon. Being a nurse, I knew the importance of a second opinion and he recommended a minor lift and lowering of the infra-mammory fold. These procedures were about half the cost of what the other surgeon recommended. This recommendation made sense to me, so I proceeded. My surgeon and his staff made me feel so comfortable; and they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I had minimal pain and bruising following the second surgery (unlike the first surgery). I am extremely pleased with my breasts now. Before the procedure, I did not want to wear anything that showed my chest, such as low-cut shirts or swimsuits. Now, I feel more youthful and natural; and I certainly don't look like I've had 2 children! I am a full 34C; and I would go back and do it all over again. Breast augmentation has changed the way I look at myself. |
