Critical but Forgotten — Your Post-Surgical Bra

Are you getting or considering breasts implants? One commonly overlooked but critical need is your post-surgical bra. Many women don't think about what to wear during recovery or their doctor does not advise them on choosing the right post-surgical bra. The result? Desperate bra shopping at a time when you might not make the best decision.

Talk to your doctor early on in the consultation process. Ask your doctor if he prescribes a particular bra style or specifically recommends bra features for your post-surgical needs well before the day of your surgery.

Many doctors recommend a sports bra. A compression garment like a sports bra for post-surgery will help reduce swelling and speed recovery. Many of my customers opted for a sports bra with a zipper front because they had difficulty with arm movement after surgery.
